Dr. Joshua Gauger, MD, MBA – Medical Strategy Advisor

Joshua GaugerDr. Joshua Gauger combines real-world medical practice with a strong understanding of how healthcare systems work. He helps improve care by using his background to make everyday processes more effective and patient-friendly. He serves as Medical Director in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Wisconsin, where his work focuses on quality improvement, patient safety, and system efficiency.

Holding a dual MD/MBA from the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and Arizona State University, Dr. Gauger has a strong foundation in both clinical care and healthcare management. His background in microbiology and immunology, combined with leadership roles in hospital systems, gives him a unique perspective on how to align care practices with strategic goals.

Gopika SenthilKumar, PhD – Content Advisor

Gopika SenthilKumarGopika SenthilKumar is an MD/PhD candidate at the Medical College of Wisconsin, combining her training in medicine and physiology with a deep interest in improving how people understand and access healthcare. Her background includes research in radiation oncology, cardiovascular science, and biomedical engineering, with multiple contributions to scientific societies and student leadership roles. She’s served as Chair of the Association of Women Surgeons Medical Student Committee and has been an active member of national research and mentorship initiatives.

Her experience allows her to bridge complex science with everyday health-related needs. She works with our team to help ensure our information is accurate, clear, and relevant. Dr. Joshua Gauger blends medical experience with a strong grasp of healthcare operations. His work supports practical improvements that make care more effective and better coordinated.

Dr. Malika Siker – Health Access and Education Advisor

Malika SikerDr. Malika Siker is a physician and educator with nearly 20 years of experience in clinical care and academic leadership. As a professor and Associate Dean of Student Inclusion & Diversity at the Medical College of Wisconsin, she has focused on expanding health education and making care more accessible, especially for underserved populations. Her background includes guiding students and professionals in delivering informed, compassionate care.

In her current advisory role, Dr. Siker helps shape patient communication and supports efforts to make content clear, inclusive, and relevant to people’s daily lives. Her clinical insight and focus on equity support our goal of helping users better understand their options and feel confident in their choices.

Macey Graham, PharmD – Pediatric Therapy Advisor

Macey GrahamDr. Macey Graham focuses on pediatric care, offering insight into treatment guidance that supports both children and caregivers. After earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University, she gained valuable experience through involvement in organizations like Kappa Psi and APhA-ASP, where she developed a strong foundation in collaborative care and community outreach.

Her expertise lies in helping families navigate pediatric therapies with clarity and confidence. By offering support tailored to younger patients, she helps ensure that health plans are practical, easy to follow, and grounded in compassion. Dr. Graham’s approach centers on safety, simplicity, and keeping caregivers informed at every step.

Marina L. Maes, PharmD, BCACP, BCPS – Pharmacist and Therapy Advisor

Marina L. MaesDr. Marina Maes is a board-certified specialist in both ambulatory care and pharmacotherapy, with a strong background in academic research and patient-centered education. She currently serves as an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she supports the next generation of healthcare professionals while also contributing her clinical insight to real-world care strategies.

Her earlier training included residencies at Michigan Medicine and the University of Colorado, where she focused on family medicine and primary care support. Dr. Maes offers thoughtful guidance on medication therapy plans and access pathways, especially in outpatient settings. Her work emphasizes clarity, collaboration, and care continuity – making her an invaluable voice in optimizing treatment for everyday concerns.

Laura Koop, PharmD – Pharmacist and Geriatric Health Consultant

Laura KoopDr. Laura Koop is a board-certified expert in geriatric care with a strong academic foundation in both molecular biology and pharmacy. After earning her Doctor of Pharmacy from The Ohio State University, she focused her career on improving medication safety and wellness in aging populations. Her certification as a Geriatric Pharmacist reflects her deep knowledge in supporting older adults through tailored therapeutic strategies.

Laura’s experience includes collaborative work in clinical and community settings, where she has contributed to medication reviews, patient education, and immunization programs. She helps guide our team in developing clear, age-appropriate information for users navigating complex conditions, with a focus on safety, clarity, and respect for each individual’s needs.
